I can handle players going to any club apart from those cunts. If true a fucking scummy thing to do and shows a complete lack of respect to both the club and the fans.

He has been my favourite player for a few years but 'if' there's any truth that he has run down his contract to join them wankers he's an absolute prick and I hope his career goes the way of Scott Parker.

Re: Reid to the Scouse
When I read those N17 umbskulls on Twitter slagging off our club and showing how they like living the low life it made me wonder why some of us slag off our own club so much.

Re: Reid to the Scouse
If he stays till the summer, presumably he will be dropped for the away game as surely there would be a conflict of interest.

Re: Reid to the Scouse
If hes gonna go there then hopefully he fucks off there tommorow. Small nominal fee and someone like Lennon in would do me just fine.
No point in having the kiwi cunt around if he's gonna be joining one of our rivals in the summer.

Do they let this happen? Wouldn't this be worse than some sort of third party influence? Could a relegatingion team make an agreement with a rival's goalkeeper?

penners spot on.
Also I think if we can keep him till summer but sack fat sam asap and get a manager like Benitez in we will have a chance of keeping him and Song

If this is true, very strange. He'd basically be a yid while playing for us?

Re: Reid to the Scouse
We would stand a lot better chance of persuading him to stay and Song and Jenkinson to sign if we looked like we were genuine challengers for Europe but looking at the table we'll be 11th and below shortly thanks to being held back by a clueless manager.

They are watching and think they are getting one over us with Reid - How low, wrong and sad can they get.

Re: Reid to the Scouse
Was thinking yesterday that he'd be a good fit for them and wondering why they don't want him.

Agree anything to stop Tottenham from signing our good players should be done. If we know hes off on a free to them sell him to someone else now.

Re: Reid to the Scouse
At first I thought it would be better if he stayed, make a real push for Europe this season, especially now we've got all these injuries at center half we're a little thin...
However, if the report is true that he's off to the yidish ones at the end of the season I'd sell him to the bin dippers if for no other reason but to fuck off the yids. Especially if the dippers are offering 6.5 mill!!!
Gotta think his agent put this rumour out there to get a club to over bid for him, good for all concerned except the yids of course!!!!!

Re: Reid to the Scouse
What I find strange is how does the Mirror get to know his sighning for Spurs for 60k a week?

I woul have thought this was the last thing him or his agent or Spurs would want to get out for obvious reasons.

Just makes me think it's bollocks!

Re: Reid to the Scouse
What is sad is that players always think the grass is greener and as often the case it doesn't always work out like that,. Money shouldn't come into it but it sadly does. These guys and there families are set for life if they are on 40 grand a week let alone 100 grand, I mean how much money do they want?

Look at the likes of Ricki Lambert or Adam La Lana. That went well didn't it>?! Scott Sinclair or even Scott Parker who had what a decent 6 months at Spurs and that was it....

Reid is a good player, but not a top 4 player. Can just see him warming someone's bench if he goes.

I will try not to tar you with it Mr P :-)

But im my opinion, even though he is showing that professionalism, he will know about the rivalry and the fact that it is the foundation for what makes supporters so passionate about the game which in turn is why its clubs and players can make so much money. We do not know if the club has not matched his ambitions. Financially they appear to be putting a good offer to him? I understand why he might want to pick up a large signing on fee if he is on a Bosman but again, its disrespectful to his current club and fans to go to Spurs if he cares about anything other than money IMHO.

We shall have to agree to disagree on this one I guess even though its all academic at present anyway :-)

I don't blame him for wanting to join the best club he can get, he has been a great servant to the club, but I'd lose all respect for him if he went THERE.

Are clubs not allowed to negotiate with players'agents only, NSD?

Re: Reid to the Scouse
Don't tar me with that brush Sir Alf

He won't lose my repect no matter where he goes, not if he continues to to show professionalism while playing for us that he has.

Fans anger shouldn't be at him - it should be at the people that have stopped him believing he couldn't stay here and improve
